Jody Daniels’ landscape career began in 1969, when he first established Daniels & Associates in Oregon with a simple belief:
“Treat every property like your own.”
In 1992, Jody brought that experience, work ethic, and company foundation to Colorado, where GH Daniels & Associates took root and began serving clients across the Western Slope and mountain communities.
What started with one truck and a commitment to quality workmanship has grown into one of Western Colorado’s most respected landscape construction companies. More than five decades later, the same principles still guide the work: integrity, craftsmanship, accountability, and pride in a job well done.
Over the years, GH Daniels & Associates has delivered projects ranging from private residences and neighborhood developments to commercial, institutional, and public properties. While the scale of the work has evolved, the focus has remained the same — building landscapes with care, precision, and long-term performance in mind.
Today, GH Daniels & Associates continues to serve clients throughout Colorado’s Western Slope and mountain communities, delivering landscape solutions built for both beauty and lasting value.
As our client relationships grew, so did the challenges they faced.
Many property owners came to us looking for more than landscape construction. They needed long-term maintenance support, irrigation management, seasonal services, and dependable partners who could help protect the investment they had made in their properties.
Commercial clients faced another challenge entirely: managing multiple locations, coordinating vendors, and maintaining consistent service standards across growing portfolios.
Rather than trying to force every service into a single company, we chose a different approach. We built specialized organizations designed to solve specific problems while maintaining the same values and standards that GH Daniels & Associates was founded upon.
That decision became the foundation for the family of organizations that GHD Companies is today.

After relocating from Oregon to Colorado, Jody Daniels brought decades of hands-on landscape experience to the Western Slope. GH Daniels & Associates was established with a focus on quality construction, lasting client relationships, and landscapes built for the region.
As client needs expanded beyond construction, The Landscape Center was developed to provide ongoing landscape maintenance, irrigation services, seasonal support, and long-term property care throughout Western Colorado.
Commercial clients managing multiple properties brought larger operational concerns to the forefront. Facilities Management Corp. was created to bring consistent structure, clearer communication, and real accountability to exterior service coordination across complex property portfolios.
